The Valenian generator fault simulation testbed has been delivered to Hebei University of Science and Technology, aiding in the cultivation of talents for high-end equipment operation and maintenance
An advanced teaching experimental platform capable of simulating various generator faults has been put into use at Hebei University of Science and Technology, providing a realistic fault diagnosis research platform for teachers and students at the university.
On the 17th day of the month, the VALENIAN PT680 generator fault simulation test bench was officially delivered to Hebei University of Science and Technology and put into use. This platform will be utilized for teaching and research in electrical engineering and automation-related fields. By simulating generator faults under real-world operating conditions, it provides students with practical opportunities to deepen their understanding of fault diagnosis technology.
The experimental bench can simulate common fault types such as rotor bar breakage, stator winding inter-turn short circuit, voltage imbalance, and bearing damage, helping students grasp fault characteristics and analysis methods.
01 Simulate real faults to enhance teaching effectiveness

The Valenian generator fault simulation test bench possesses highly realistic fault simulation capabilities. The test bench adopts a modular design, incorporating a three-phase asynchronous drive motor, a dual-support test bearing pedestal unit, and a dynamic balance correction unit.
This design allows students to observe the operating characteristics of the generator under various fault conditions by replacing different faulty modules.
The experimental bench can accurately simulate various common issues such as rotor bar faults, stator winding faults, voltage imbalance, and bearing faults. Students can intuitively understand the changing patterns of parameters such as voltage, current, and vibration of the unit when faults occur, enhancing their perceptual understanding of theoretical knowledge.
02 Integrate scientific research and teaching to enhance practical abilities
This experimental platform provides a closely integrated platform for scientific research and teaching. With the assistance of a multi-channel data collector and professional analysis software, teachers and students can conduct in-depth research on fault feature extraction, spectrum analysis, fault prediction, and more.
The experimental bench supports real-time acquisition of various signals such as vibration, noise, torque, and speed, providing sufficient data support for fault diagnosis research.
This platform will be utilized for experimental teaching in courses such as rotor dynamics and equipment condition monitoring, aiding students in mastering practical skills like signal processing technology and fault feature frequency analysis. Through hands-on operation and observation, students are able to integrate abstract theoretical knowledge with specific engineering practices.
03 School-enterprise cooperation to jointly build a new talent cultivation model
The introduction of the Valenian experimental platform by Hebei University of Science and Technology reflects the school's emphasis on practical teaching. The cooperation between schools and enterprises provides students with a learning environment close to industrial sites, enabling them to gain exposure to advanced fault diagnosis technology during their school years.
This cooperation model lays a solid foundation for students to engage in equipment operation and maintenance work in industries such as energy and power, equipment manufacturing, and more in the future.
Valenian has provided fault simulation testing solutions to over 300 universities and large enterprises. The company exports its products to multiple countries, maintains cooperation with international manufacturers, and continuously provides users with cutting-edge products.
With the advancement of the construction of new power systems, the safe and stable operation of power generation equipment has become increasingly important. The fault simulation testbed introduced by Hebei University of Science and Technology will rely on the eight-channel synchronous acquisition capability provided by the data collector to comprehensively record multi-dimensional data such as vibration, voltage, and current during the occurrence of faults.
This platform not only serves daily teaching, but also supports the school's cutting-edge research in equipment fault prediction and health management, cultivating professionals who master advanced diagnostic techniques for the industry.
