Liaoning Railway Vocational and Technical College is a provincial public full-time higher vocational college. It is one of the first batch of vocational education reform and development demonstration schools in Liaoning Province and a construction unit for the "Xingliao Excellence" vocational college in Liaoning Province. Founded in 1948, it was formerly known as the 7th and 8th battalions of the Northeast People's Liberation Army Railway Corps. In 1952, it was transferred to the Jinzhou Railway Workers' School of the Ministry of Railways and was one of the first eight railway transportation professional schools in New China. In 2008, the foundation of Jinzhou Railway Transport School was upgraded to a higher vocational college with its current name.
