-- Provide core experimental support for breakthroughs in intelligent operation and maintenance technology for high-end mining equipment
1Recently, CITIC Heavy Industries' "National Key Laboratory for Intelligent Heavy-Duty Mining Equipment" (formerly the National Key Laboratory for Heavy-Duty Mining Equipment) has officially introduced the PT700 Rotating Machinery Fault Simulator upon the completion of its new site construction and commencement of trial operation. This marks a significant enhancement in the laboratory's capabilities for fault diagnosis and intelligent operation and maintenance research, signifying a new level of advancement for CITIC Heavy Industries' research prowess in the field of high-end mining equipment health management and predictive maintenance (PHM) technology.

The PT700 mechanical fault simulation test platform developed by Valenian is currently an advanced comprehensive fault simulation experimental device for rotating machinery in China. It can accurately simulate over 20 types of typical single and composite mechanical faults, including motor rotor imbalance/eccentricity, defects in bearing inner/outer rings and rolling elements, gear tooth breakage/wear, shaft misalignment, belt drive faults, and transient processes during startup and shutdown. It also supports synchronous acquisition and analysis of multi-channel vibration, speed, torque, temperature, and other multi-source signals. This platform will provide a traceable, repeatable, and high-quality fault dataset for laboratories to conduct research on the fault evolution mechanism of heavy mining equipment (large mills, mine hoists, crushers, etc.), develop feature extraction algorithms, and train deep learning intelligent diagnostic models.

According to the relevant laboratory head, relying on the PT700 platform, the research team will systematically reproduce equipment failure modes under complex working conditions in a controlled laboratory environment. The focus will be on tackling "bottleneck" technical challenges such as weak fault feature identification, remaining useful life (RUL) prediction, and core algorithms for remote intelligent operation and maintenance of heavy-duty mining equipment under varying speed and load conditions. This will provide strong support for CITIC Heavy Industries to build a full-chain technology system of "design-manufacturing-operation and maintenance-service" and create a national-level hub for original technology innovation in mining equipment.
The National Key Laboratory for Intelligent Mine Heavy Equipment is jointly established by CITIC Heavy Industries, Zhengzhou University, and Henan University of Science and Technology. It was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2022 to be reorganized from the former "National Key Laboratory for Mine Heavy Equipment". Focusing on four major directions: reliability design and performance evaluation of mine heavy equipment, key technologies of intelligent manufacturing, equipment intelligence technology, and efficient equipment and processes, it is committed to serving the national mineral resource security strategy and the "dual carbon" goals.
