Shanghai Jiao Tong University has had multiple collaborations with Valentinian Teaching. The PT500 machine vibration simulator delivered to the Vibration Laboratory of the School of Mechanical Engineering is purchased for the purpose of researching dynamic signal processing and fault diagnosis simulation testing of mechanical systems
The VALENIAN-PT50 mechanical simulation test bench is designed specifically for simulating industrial gear faults and is used for in-depth research on bearing and gear transmission systems. It consists of a rolling bearing, a dynamic balance correction rotor disk, a planetary gearbox, a powder brake, and two-stage parallel shaft gear pins. Reserve enough space to install a vibration data collector to collect vibration signals. Its structure is easy to install and replace gears. The two-stage parallel axis gearbox can be designed to switch between good and faulty gears at any time according to experimental needs. And it can test for defects in rolling bearings, such as internal problems, outer circle and ball damage. In gear testing, visual load control can be performed, and gear clearance can be carried out for different gear clearance studies. It is possible to integrate different types of gear faults into a gearbox, test each type of faulty gear one by one, or simultaneously snow two types of faulty gears to study the interaction between different gear rail faults, as well as to study the fault characteristics of planetary gears, such as large gear faults, sun gear faults, planetary gear faults, etc.

Typical/potential applications of PT500 test bench include:
Analyze the fault characteristics of spur gears, helical gears, and planetary gears, such as missing teeth or fractures in the gears. Research on Gear Resonance, Noise, and Shaft Cracks: Effects of Wear, Clearance, and Misalignment
The influence of gear eccentricity
load effect
Dynamic balance correction
Gear geometry and transmission ratio
Fault diagnosis of rolling bearings
The effects of lubrication, temperature, and pollution on work deflection deformation and modal analysis. Research and Technology on Sensor Installation
The State Key Laboratory of Mechanical Systems and Vibration (formerly the State Key Laboratory of Vibration, Shock and Noise) of Shanghai Jiaotong University started its project preparation in 1988, and was completed and opened to the public in 1995. Professor Xu Min is the main creator of the laboratory. Professors Han Zushun, Chen Jin, Meng Guang, and Gao Feng have successively served as laboratory directors, and Professor Zhu Xiangyang is the current laboratory director. Professor Jian Bangchun served as the director of the first and second academic committees of the laboratory, Professor Zhong Jue served as the director of the third, fourth, and fifth academic committees, and Professor Lu Quan served as the director of the sixth academic committee. Professor Li Bacon was appointed as the Chairman of the First and Second Advisory Expert Committees. In 2013 and 2018, the laboratory has been outstanding in the evaluation of State Key Laboratory for two consecutive times, and is the only State Key Laboratory in the engineering field in Shanghai that has been outstanding in the evaluation.
The laboratory is committed to promoting scientific development, supporting industrial progress, and modernizing national defense construction. It is dedicated to researching basic scientific problems and applied technologies in the fields of vibration, impact, noise analysis and control, system dynamics and signal processing, intelligent mechanical system design and manufacturing, precision manufacturing and quality control, and theory of electromechanical systems. Over the years, the laboratory has undertaken a number of major national basic research and engineering projects, achieving innovative theoretical and technological achievements in ship acoustic stealth, impact protection, spacecraft dynamics and control, complex equipment mechanism design, carrier rocket manufacturing technology and equipment, intelligent and agile prosthetics, etc. It has made important contributions to the development of mechanical disciplines and the technological progress of ships, spacecraft and manufacturing equipment.
The laboratory pays attention to the construction of academic team and scientific research conditions. At present, there are 78 fixed personnel. One CAE Member academician and 10 Changjiang Scholars have been cultivated successively. 23 people have won the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. The laboratory implements the operating mechanism of "open, mobile, united and competitive", carries out extensive cooperation and exchanges with academic institutions and industrial enterprises at home and abroad, and actively promotes the popularization and dissemination of science and technology. After more than 30 years of construction and development, it has become a leading and internationally renowned academic research and technological innovation base in the field of mechanical systems and vibration
